Cleantech Open and Global Ideas Competition
15-16 November - San Jose California
The jury selected five companies among early entries to the competition, one from each Nordic country. The five selected companies were provided with travel grants of 1000 EUR each to represent their nations in the Global Ideas Competition, organized by Cleantech Open. The companies pitched in front of a large audience of investors and others interested in the cleantech scene. They also got to display their innovations at the large expo with stands from all the finalists and alumni from the American Cleantech Open competition as well as the international participants in the Global Ideas Competition.
Nordic Cleantech Showcase

The country finalists were in the center of attention
when we showcased Nordic Cleantech to selected investors an other
relevant actors in the Bay area. The Nordic Day on 17 November will started with a buss tour taking the cleantech innovators from to visit relevant companies and institutions in the Bay Area. In the afternoon there was a showcasing event to which we invited all the cleantech investors in the area.

11-12 February 2012 - Trolleholm Castle
The top 25 contestants was invited to a weekend workshop in the amazing environment of the 450 year old castle of Trolleholm in Southern Sweden. At the camp the 19 participating companies meet and worked with an equal number of qualified individually invited industrials and investors to receive valuable connections and potentially improve their business cases. This was also a chance to meet the other contestants under relaxed circumstances and exchange experiences. The camp was also about excellent food and having a good time in a beautiful historic environment.
Nordic Cleantech Showcase in Pamplona
7-8 March 2011 - Pamplona, Navara, Spain
This two-day Nordic Cleantech Showcase in Spain was hosted by Sodena, a long time investor in the Spanish Cleantech sector, now looking to expand its investment horizon to the Nordic Cleantech space. All the top 25 Nordic Cleantech Open companies was be offered travel grants to participate in this great event.

Final event at the Cleantech Venture Day
25-26 April - Lahti
The ten finalists from the Nordic Cleantech Open was on stage presenting their cases to the audience at the final event at Aalto Venture Garage. The final was held as part of the The Cleantech Venture Day in Lahti. This is a yearly event that gathers all relevant players in the Nordic Cleantech scene as well as a lot of international actors including a strong Baltic presence. The audience of the final event participated in selecting the Winner, Runner-up and Third place winners of the Nordic Cleantech Open competition 2011 /2012. At a Gala Dinner surrounded by media, Nordic and International investors the winners was announced and awards was handed out!
